Orthographics are what allow you to make sure you are on the right path throughout the process. Adding in these illustrations allows my students to follow along and achieve similar results while learning various construction methods.
Build part by part for maximum precision. Often I see beginners building the whole car from one shape. This won't lead to the results you are looking for. I go over every conceivable build scenario to get maximum quality of your surfaces.
